Ahead of the fixture, Pochettino claimed Alderweireld would be in the squad – but remained tight-lipped on his starting XI.
Pochettino revealed: "Toby will be in the squad. But I will decide if he plays tomorrow."
Earlier this month, Poch explained Alderweireld's absence… saying it was nothing personal and purely down to form.
The Spurs boss claimed: "I don't care about the personal situation with the club. If they show me they deserve to play, they are going to play.
"It is not about personal feelings or emotions. It is about providing the team with the best tools to win.
"I cannot consider if they have a one-year contract, six months or ten years.
