Switzerland dominated throughout – boasting 22 attempts on goal, in comparison to just four from Latvia.

Bosnia thumped Gibraltar 4-0 to secure the three points with an encouraging win at Estadio Algarve Faro.

Following a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Portugal in the week, Faroe Islands arrived in Andorra with a point to prove.

It was far from straight forward, but Lars Olsen’s side managed to secure a 1-0 victory at the Torsvollur Torshavn.

A goal from Gilli Sorensen just after the half hour mark was all that could separate the two sides.
