WWE legend Hillbilly Jim to be inducted into 2018 Hall of Fame alongside Goldberg and Ivory

Jim joins Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett and Warrior Award recipient Jarrius “JJ” Robertson who will be honoured at the event before WrestleMania.

And Mudlick, Kentucky's favourite son admitted he had no idea he was going to be inducted and was left speechless.

Jim said: "I didn't have that on my mind whatsoever.

"For a moment or two, I was knocked back on my heels. Basically, I was speechless.

"It was a whole lot for me to digest quickly."

An interesting part of Jim being selected as a member of the 2018 class is how how his career in WWE started.

He was trained on-screen by Hulk Hogan after the big country boy jumped the barrier and helped him after he was being attacked in the ring.

And that could see the Hulkerster return to WWE TV for the first time since 2015 when he was fired from the company after an interview where he used racist language emerged.

The ceremony  takes place on April 6, two days before the Showcase of Immortals kicks off in New Orleans.
