Anton Du Beke tips Ruth Langsford to win Strictly

Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke said dance partner Ruth Langsford could win the show [ITV]

This Morning and Loose Women star Ruth Langsford made her Strictly Come Dancing 2017 debut on Saturday.

Ruth joins the likes of Davood Ghadami, Mollie King, Alexandra Burke and Debbie McGee on the line-up.

Eamonn Holmes’ wife hit back at judge Craig Revel Horwood on the weekend over his comments about her performance.

On Tuesday, Ruth brought dance partner Anton Du Beke on to the show to discuss how things are going.

Ruth and Anton gave an insight into their rehearsal, as well as teasing what their next dance will be.

Anton confirmed he and Ruth will be performing the Charleston this weekend.

And the star predicted huge scores for Ruth, sharing a big advantage she has with her latest dance.

Anton joked to the panel: “She’s got a natural talent for the Charleston, she’s got the face for it.”

Asked by Nadia Sawalha about her chances, Anton added of Ruth: “I think she’s got the potential to go all the way.”

Anton gave away: “Next week we’ve got the Charleston and it is magnificent.”

He then joked Ruth would be performing a cartwheel on the show, teasing the lifts that were to come.

Anton recently became a dad to twins with his wife Hannah Summers.

He opened up about fatherhood on the show with Ruth, confessing it was “brilliant”.

Anton has yet to confirm what he and Hannah have named their children.
