We imagine that if you star in something, watching it get remade must be a weird feeling. Is your version not good enough for modern audiences anymore? What if they prefer the new person to you in the role? Just two of the questions we’d have if it happened to us.
Luckily, Barbara Streisand doesn’t seem to be plagued by such thoughts. The iconic actress and singer appeared in A Star is Born in 1976, and has nothing but nice things to say about the remake featuring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
“Oh, I can’t say too much. I haven’t seen too much, but it’s good,” she said at an event honouring her work (via ETOnline).
“It’s very, very good.”
And don’t think that Streisand is just one of those people who likes everything, either. She said at the same event that she is very disappointed with the latest season of Homeland, stating: “It’s like, I don’t know what happened to it.”
The star revealed that she is really into her nature and animal documentaries at the moment, and has been binge watching American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace (just like the rest of us, then), but finds it quite scary, calling Darren Criss’ Andrew Cunanan “so good that it’s so awful”.
The star recently revealed that she had her dead dog Samantha cloned. Not once, but twice.
We wonder if she’s just testing the waters to have herself cloned so she can release 600 more albums.
