Black Panther's Chadwick Boseman will host Saturday Night Live next month

Chadwick Boseman has been unveiled as a future host of Saturday Night Live.

The Black Panther actor will follow in the footsteps of his co-star Sterling K Brown by acting as host on the live comedy sketch show next month on Saturday, April 7.

He will be joined by musical guest Cardi B, with the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper unveiling the good news on her official Instagram page on Sunday (March 18).

What a line-up, eh?

As excited as we are by Boseman’s addition, it won’t mark the first time Black Panther has graced the SNL stage, as last week’s episode saw a spoof of the Marvel movie win the night.

During the sketch, the SNL cast gave audiences an exclusive look at one of the film’s “deleted scenes”, starring Chris Redd, Sterling K Brown, Leslie Jones and Kenan Thompson.

Redd had the honour of filling in for Boseman as King T’Challa on this occasion.

The scene in question saw T’Challa travel to Djalia to meet the souls of his family members.

We don’t know if Boseman will appear in any Black Panther sketches while on the show – but we hope so.

We mean, there’s alway chance at an exclusive look at the sequel, right?

Black Panther is in cinemas now. Saturday Night Live featuring Chadwick Boseman and Cardi B will air on April 7.
