Nicole Scherzinger had to pull out of this weekend’s The X Factor Manchester auditions over a “diary commitment”.
And as such, Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has stepped in to replaced the 38-year-old singer on the judging panel.
A source told The Sun: “Everyone is gutted that Nicole won’t be joining them, but Alesha has a wealth of experience from her role on BGT and her own pop career so will do a great job filling in.”
While an ITV spokesperson added to the publication: “Alesha is guest-judging for the first day of the Manchester auditions as Nicole is unable to film that day due to a previous diary commitment.”

Alesha also took to Instagram to show off her new temporary role with two photographs.
The first snap showed the 38-year-old singer sitting on a chair while doing a X sign with her hands.
She captioned the photo with: “Britain’s Got The X Factor!” followed by a wink emoji and four red crosses.
While the next snap showed Alesha standing against a wall with a stunning orange, white and black dress on.

She said: “Manchester @thexfactor auditions wearing @stellamccartney skirt @rosettagetty top and @miumiu shoes” followed by a heart.
The news comes after Simon Cowell has decided to keep The X Factor judging panel made up of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger the exact same this year.
This is the first show in seven years where the music mogul has decided to keep the judges unchanged.
However, Simon appeared to confirm all three of his co-judges from last year would be back a few weeks ago.

He told The Sun he had no plans to change the panel, or that of Britain’s Got Talent.
Simon said: “I don’t think for the moment we’d want to make any changes.
“It worked on X Factor last year and the Britain’s Got Talent panel works really well.”
He continued: “There’s always room to come up with new ideas for shows but you’ve got to look at the whole landscape.
