Captain Marvel and Chaos Walking writers are making Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off Silver & Black.
According to The Wrap, Lindsey Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet will be writing the screenplay, which centres on Marvel Comics/Spider-Man characters Silver Sable and Black Cat.
Beer recently worked on post-apocalyptic thriller Chaos Walking, starring Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland. Robertson-Dworet worked on Tomb Raider, as well as Captain Marvel.
Gina Prince-Bythewood, who made Beyond the Lights, is directing the movie, while Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal are producing, with Columbia Pictures executives Palak Patel and Eric Fineman overseeing.
Mercenary Silver Sable and the expert burglar known as Black Cat have been allies and enemies of Spider-Man throughout the decade, but they’ve both been most popular as anti-heroes who pursue true villains outside the bounds of the law.
Although the pair are part of the Spider-Man universe, it appears that they won’t be linking up with Holland’s Peter Parker, who currently resides in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
