Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy revealed that Carrie Fisher’s character Princess Leia will not have a role in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode IX movie in the much-loved franchise.

The news was announced during the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando reflecting on the past four decades of the franchise.
