The entertainer dashed fans' hopes that Geordie Ant will be back on TV soon after he was convicted of drink-driving.
Biggins doesn't doubt his pal making a TV comeback – but thinks it will be later than everyone thought.
He told the Mirror: “Without a doubt he will be back on TV.
"It is a terrible scenario but I think this year’s I’m A Celebrity will only be Dec, and then Ant will be back next year."
Dec was forced to present solo on the last few Saturday Night Takeaway series – as well as the live shows of Britain's Got Talent.
It's after Ant announced he was taking a break from TV and going back to rehab.
The 42-year-old was involved in a collision with two other cars while he was driving his Mini in Richmond, South West London, on Sunday afternoon.
He said he was "truly sorry" about what happened after being fined £86,000 – the biggest drink-drive fine ever in the UK.
Talking about Ant's return to television, Biggins said Ant needs time to recover – and that his new girlfriend "will help, I'm sure".
The Sun on Sunday revealed how Ant's personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett had become the troubled telly star’s“rock” in recent months.
She separated from her husband Scott last October – they have two children together.
Ant, 42, split from his wife Lisa Armstrong in January, but sources stressed it was not linked to Anne-Marie's marriage breakdown.
They were pictured walking Ant’s dog with him in April after he left rehab, and in June they were spotted again enjoying a shopping trip at Harrods, with Ant looking healthy and happy.
