Coronation Street’s Leanne Battersby is in for an awful surprise after Weatherfield’s handsome new visitor, Chris, appears to have targeted her as part of a crafty robbery plot.
Jane Danson’s character has been looking for a man in recent episodes, and has even experimented with online dating, so when a new face arrived in the area she finally thought her love life was looking up.
However, it didn’t take long before the mysterious stranger’s motives were revealed to viewers, as he cunningly swiped her mobile phone from right under her nose, after hours of flirting with her and winning her trust.

Toyah and Peter’s B&B guest could be seen sneakily plying Leanne with wine while he bought himself an alcohol free drink, claiming he needed to drive later that evening.
However, he begun to act suspiciously after Sarah Platt discovered the name on his bank card was Paul, rather than Chris.
