Actor Ben Price announced earlier this year that he was quitting his role as the Bistro owner.
However, details around his departure have been kept under-wraps.
But it appears the actor’s exit from the soap could be permanent after a trip to the seaside goes horribly wrong.
Over the past few months, Nick has struggled to come to terms with Steve McDonald’s involvement in Oliver’s life having previously insisted that he would allow Nick to bring him up.

But in a bid to patch things up, Nick, Steve, Leanne Battersby and Peter Barlow will go to the beach.
And in a new trailer for the ITV soap, it won’t be long before everyone is arguing again.
Leanne can be heard telling her fiancé: “You know the only person causing trouble around here is you.”
While another scene shows Peter telling a disgruntled Nick that his relationship with Leanne is in trouble.
“Judging by the look on her face, I think you’ve already lost her.”
But as the trailer comes to an end, Nick can be seen struggling as he begins to drown in quicksand.

Nick’s future will be determined in the same week that the identity of Ken’s attacker will be revealed.
