Coronation Street fans were devastated as Pat Phelan’s revenge against Anna Windass saw the character sent to prison, in a huge exit twist.
Corrie has now teased there could be more to the storyline, after responding to a fan on Twitter.
Debbie Rush confirmed she would be leaving last year, and Anna’s exit storyline is revealed to be her going to prison with a five-year sentence.
But ITV viewers are now wondering if we will see some scenes of Anna behind bars, as the soap teased whether a prison spin-off show could be in the works.

A fan of the soap tweeted Debbie and the soap’s Twitter account regarding Anna leaving the soap, after a recent episode saw son Gary Windass revealed he wasn’t allowed to visit her.
The viewer tweeted them saying: “I’m looking forward to the spinoff show: Orange is the New Anna.”
Coronation Street retweeted the comment, with fans now begging for the move.
Viewers responded to the retweet, with one fan saying: “That is quality.”

Gary was left heartbroken this week after finding out Anna was refusing visitors at the prison.
Anna was arrested for pushing Seb Franklin off a ladder and leaving him injured – when Seb actually fell by accident.
Phelan framed Anna after she vowed to take him down, and despite Seb telling the truth she was still sent down.
