Coronation Street spoilers: Nicola Rubinstein rushed into hospital after horror fall puts her baby in danger

Nicola, played by Women’s Rights activist Nicola Thorp, starts the week in good spirits as she tells Eileen she’s joined an online forum for mums-to-be and has become good friends with another pregnant woman.

But when she tells her baby’s dad Gary Windass, actor Mikey North, about her new online friend, he’s immediately suspicious when she shows him a message and he notices the friend is based in Abergele.

Gary makes some calls and is soon able to track a man fitting Phelan’s description down at a caravan park in Wales.

He calls his mate Joe and they head off to find out if Pat Phelan is really dead.

Meanwhile, alone at number 11, Nicola is shaken when she hears a noise from upstairs.

But as she heads up to investigate she stumbles and falls down, landing unconscious at the bottom.

Hearing the commotion from next door, Fiz heads round and is horrified to look through the letterbox and see an unresponsive Nicola lying at the foot of the stairs.

She summons Eileen Grimshaw and Seb Franklin to open the door and calls an ambulance.

But as Nic is being loaded into the back she starts experiencing stomach pains and is told she’ll need to have an emergency caesarean to deliver the baby.

Terrified, Nicola is prepped for surgery.

Will her and the baby both survive?
