With all her success on Coronation Street, its sometimes easy to forget that Kym Marsh initially found fame as part of Popstars champs Hear’Say.
Well, we’ve just been given a massive hit of early-2000s nostalgia, as footage has emerged of the actress belting out the band’s biggest hit in a Manchester club last night (May 11)
Watch the incredible moment below:
It’s safe to say we are totally hear (say) for it (sorry not sorry).
As fans will remember, the band – made up of Kym, Myleene Klass, Noel Sullivan, Suzanne Shaw and Danny Foster – initially formed on the ITV series Popstars, and ended up releasing two albums as well as topping the charts with ‘Pure and Simple’ and ‘The Way to Your Love’.
However, Kym left the group in 2002 and the band eventually split up later that year. While we imagine a reunion won’t be happening anytime soon, we can still hope, eh?
Kym has since found a whole lot of success as Michelle Connor on Corrie, after she first joined the soap in 2006.
The actress and singer recently opened-up about fans’ calls for the soap to return to its comedy roots, which she said she found “frustrating”.
“We’re doing more high drama but that’s true of all soaps. We need to move with the times and target audiences of all ages,” Kym said.
“You can’t please everyone and the ratings speak for themselves – they’re higher now than they have been for a long time!”
