Coronation Street: Sarah and Aidan agreed that they would enjoy the meal as just friends [ITV]
Sarah Platt and Aidan Connor were seen going out on a date after Bethany set them up in a bid to help her mum get over Gary Windass.
However, this wasn’t the first time that the pair were put together in a romantic setting.
As the Weatherfield residents ordered their food at the Bistro, Sarah admitted how embarrassed she felt about the situation.
“Well this is a bit awks, first date on Valentine’s Day,” she stated as she looked around to see other loved up couples enjoying a meal together.

But it was Aidan who reminded Sarah and viewers that they had been on a date before.
“Well, strictly speaking, it’s our second. Well to be fair, you might have wiped the first one from your memory,” he joked.
“Yeah it was a long time ago,” Sarah agreed before Aidan recalled that they were drunk at the time.
“And we were totally smashed,” he joked.

It is believed that Sarah and Aidan went on a date following his arrival on the street in 2015.
But, the Underworld factory boss then moved on with Eva Price before embarking in a messy love triangle with Maria Connor which ended in the character losing the factory after Eva decided to take the ultimate revenge on their wedding day.
However, any hopes of the pair becoming Weatherfield’s new Romeo and Juliet were dismissed when the pair agreed to enjoy the meal but just as friends.
