Coronation Street's Aidan Connor leaves Underworld knicker factory to Alya Nazir in his will

As his father Johnny, played by Richard Hawley, comes to terms with discovering his son’s body, his sisters Kate and Carla, played by Faye Brooks and Alison King, have to take on his business matters.

But it transpires that troubled factory owner Aidan, who tragically took his own life after a battle with depression in Monday night’s episode, has left his Underworld knicker factory to his business partner Alya Nazir, played by Siar Khan, rather than his own family.

Amid all the grief a furious legal battle is set to ensue as the Connor clan grapple to get back what they think Aidan would have wanted to be theirs.

A TV source said: “In the fallout from the emotional storyline Aidan’s will shows that he’s left Underworld to Alya.

"It's a shock as everyone was expecting it to be left to his own family.

“It’s an unintentional snub to the Connors, as he made the will months earlier when he thought about taking his own life.”

Aidan made up with half-sister Carla earlier this year, and she signed over her share of the factory to him to say thanks for him saving her life by donating a kidney.

A vital organ for a knicker business seems a fair trade.
