Antiques Road Trip: Suzannah standing in front of the mid-19th century pram [BBC ]
Antique’s Road Trip’s David Harper and historian Suzannah Lipscomb had a very awkward exchange during the latest episode of the show, when they came across a mid-19th Century authentic Silver Cross pram.
With a plan to sell the rare find at auction the duo discussed the history of the pram in more detail and negotiated a price, before the conversation took a turn.
David said: “Can I get my shelf thing in there? Hang on, if you’re going to be doing all the pushing I might as well let you do that as well. How’s that?”

A seemingly unamused Suzannah paused, allowing room for David to correct his assumptions, and it appeared to work.
“I’ll guide you through,” David said.
Suzannah did not let his words go unnoticed entirely however, saying with a laugh that such tasks were seen as ”women’s work”.

”It’s always the way isn’t it, it’s always the women’s work,” she said.
She continued: ”Always the way.”
Not content with leaving it there she went further with her light-hearted chastising of David, adding: “I like you very much David but…”.

In response to her quips the 50-year-old was quick admitted he’d made a faux pas and to his giggling co-star.
“At a distance, I’m quite embarrassed at this point,” he joked.
