Dwayne Johnson is one of the most in-shape guys in Hollywood. He’s strong as an ox and powered by half an ocean’s worth of cod. And we can’t forget that he used to fling himself around a wrestling ring for a living too.
But even The Rock has a stuntman for when he’s filming his Hollywood blockbusters, and it happens to be his cousin, Tanoai Reed, who also bears more than a passing resemblance to his superstar relation (via MoviePilot).
Tanoai had being doing stunts since 1995, when he worked on Waterworld, but when Dwayne made his film debut in 2002 for The Scorpion King, Tanoai was on hand to chuck himself about in the name of stunt work.
Of course since then, Dwayne Johnson has starred in loads of other films, gradually becoming the A-list megastar that he is now, and Tanoai has gone along with him all the way.
Not that it’s always been without incident. During the filming of The Rundown in 2003 (yeah, we forgot all about that film too) Tanoai shattered his ankle filming a scene where he tumbled down a cliffside. Ouch!
We’d just like to finish on this note: HOW ON EARTH ARE THEY PULLING OFF THAT POSE? Forget Jumanji, this sorcery looks like it would be more suited to a wizarding lesson in Harry Potter’s Hogwarts.
