EastEnders viewers were left shocked tonight after it was revealed that new character Karen Taylor, played by Lorraine Stanley, is in fact Keegan Baker’s mum.
And talking about the new storyline, Zack Morris – who plays Keegan – has teased what viewers can expect from the new controversial family.
The actor revealed that viewers will get to know a lot more about his character and they may even “feel sorry for him”.
He revealed: “There’s a lot that I’ve been filming and coming up that will show more to him.

“The audience will get why he’s the way he is, and will get to see what’s going on behind closed doors. You may feel sorry for him or at least understand why he is the way he is.”
While Zack went on to tease that Keegan will get up to “mischief” with his eldest brother Keanu, played by Danny Walters.
He said: “The age gap is quite close – Keegan is 15 and Keanu is 18 – Keegan’s a boisterous character, while Keanu wants to be the man of the house and bring the money in, so there’s a bit of rivalry there.
“There’s a scene coming up soon where they get up to no good, and I feel like when they’re getting into mischief, they connect, and they have that in common. It’s because he’s stooping down to Keegan’s level.
“Apart from that, Keanu is always trying to be the better one in the family and Keegan resents that, so there’s always a bit of bickering or arguing or as if there’s about to be a fight. It’s that kind of tension.”
However, the soap actor admitted that it was “weird” filming the scenes at first with his new family as he’s not used to filming inside.

He said: “My scenes have mainly been outside or in the school. So to have my own home, it’s reassuring and a comfort in a way, like: ‘I’m here for a while’.”
However, despite the confrontational family causing mayhem on the streets of Walford, Zack admitted that everyone “gets on really well”.
“We do have a laugh,” he admitted.
“It’s quite hard to do scenes sometimes because we’re all laughing quite a lot. I blame Lou [Lorraine Stanley who plays Karen Taylor] 100 percent.
“She’s so funny, she gets carried away and then everything is just hilarious. I’ve had some scenes with Tish [Letitia Dean who plays Sharon Mitchell] and her, and it’s just impossible sometimes.”
EastEnders: Zack Morris revealed that the Taylor family have a bearded dragon called Rooney and a pet dog called Bronson[BBC]
However, it’s not just Keegan’s family who will be making a grand entrance into Albert Square and Zack teased that his bearded dragon Rooney will be making an appearance as well as Bronson the dog.
He added: “So it’s a bit crazy – five kids, Karen and the pets all crammed into a small flat. It’s going to be interesting!”
EastEnders continues on BBC One.
