EastEnders: Max Branning has sparked concern among fans [BBC]
EastEnders bad boy Max Branning is proving a Puffer jacket never goes out of style, according to fans of the soap.
Viewers have been left well and truly confused as to why the scheming dad doesn’t ever seem to switch from his blue, Michelin-man style ribbed coat.
The trend was first sparked in scenes around Christmas time, but eagle-eyed telly addicts have noted it appears to have become his 2018 staple, too.

Granted Max, played by Jake Wood, has had rather a lot on his mind.
His youngest Abi Branning died after tragically falling off The Queen Vic roof on Christmas Day and in the weeks that followed her passing, Jake Wood’s character has struggled to come to terms with his loss.
The Walford resident was then dealt a devastating blow from eldest daughter Lauren, when she told him the funeral had already happened and he had been banned.

So no wonder he’s not been able to pop down to the market for some new clobber.
Yet soap fans have showed little sympathy, instead taking to social media to poke fun at his cozy comfort clothing.
One referred to his winter warmer as a “hellraiser jacket” as another quizzed: “Has Max Branning ever taken off that coat? Ever?”

A third then posted: “Not keen on Max Branning wearing a bomber jacket recently, bring back red lining long black coat,” as another put: “Is it just me or has Max Branning worn the same black coat for ten years straight.”
One then followed with: “Is it just me or has Max Branning worn the same black coat for ten years straight?”
Another EastEnders fan then commented: “Started watching eastenders again the past few days and Max Branning hasn’t took his coat off once. Big Shaq, Big Max … mans not hot!”
The outburst comes shortly after we reported how fellow Walford favourite Mel Owen caused a frenzy of concern after never appearing to remove her coat.
One fan said: “#EastEnders, just an observation but does Mel ever take her coat off?”
