However, fans were also gripped by the ongoing drama of Robbie Jackson and Donna Yates, after the two were locked in the Queen Vic kitchen.
Whitney Carter trapped the duo in a bid for them to get together following weeks of flirty banter between them.
And following the intimate scenes with the pair trapped in close proximity, viewers are now desperate to see them get together.

Taking to Twitter, EastEnders were quick to share their hopes for a brand new romance in Albert Square.

Meanwhile, in the same scene, eagle-eyed viewers spotted a glaring error while the two were supposedly trapped in the kitchen.
As the two remained trapped in the pub, viewers spotted a fire exit right behind them which had a big emergency exit sign on the door.
