In new scenes, Carmel is left in tears after heading to the estate to hunt down the man who killed her son.
Shakil and Keegan were brutally stabbed in episodes airing last week when Shakil tried to return a bike Keegan stole from a gang member.
While both boys are stabbed, it's Shakil who tragically died after the attack, while Keegan's life was saved by Mick Carter.
However, it seems Keegan is able to identify the teenager after he and Carmel return to the estate where the bike was stolen.
Carmel calls the police and cops handcuff the teen and take him to the station, just as his furious mum arrives back from shopping.
Viewers of the BBC soap will have to tune in to see if the killer is brought to justice.
The horrific storyline was written to mark the tenth anniversary of the death of former star Brooke Kinsella's brother
Ben Kinsella, 16, was killed while out celebrating the end of his GCSEs in north London in an unprovoked attack back in 2008.
Talking about the episodes, Brooke said: “It is now 10 years since we lost Ben to this horrific crime and it is impossible to put into words how Ben’s murder has affected my family.
"I commend the EastEnders team for choosing this storyline to portray the realities of knife crime.
"It simply destroys lives forever. We need to do more to help people understand this, especially young people."
Keegan has stolen a bike from the estate only for the gang to come looking for him.
