Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have secretly got married nine years after getting engaged
Only recently, it was exclusively revealed by OK! Magazine that Emmerdale’s Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden had tied the knot in secret, nine years after getting engaged.
The couple started dating after meeting on the set of the ITV soap back in 2007, and have since had two children, Buster, 7, and Bowie, 2.
And one person who attended the star-studded wedding is Aaron Dingle actor Danny Miller.
Talking on This Morning, the soap legend opened up about the special event to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, as well as his character Aaron’s potential second wedding to Robert Sugden.

He said: “The producer has said they will get married at some point, but tomorrow night is the will-they, won’t-they. Will it be now, or will it be later on?
“The wedding could be in the summer, why not? Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden got married secretly, where we all turned up to their party.
“There was a lot of preparation that went into that though, more than six weeks I imagine.”
Charley and Matthew kept the whole ceremony under wraps, the acting duo decided not even to tell their guests that they were about to be wed, instead pretending they were attending to celebrate a 30th birthday.
The pair’s one hundred guests were only let in on the surprise when they arrived at Ripley Castle, in Harrogate, and discovered that a wedding was taking place instead.
Surprised celebrity attendees were then given their roles at the wedding, with Charley’s Hollyoaks actor brother, Jamie Lomas, being given the honour of giving Charley away and Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter being named as one of the bridesmaids.

Speaking exclusively to OK! Magazine about her big day, Charley said: “That moment when we announced what we were doing and seeing everybody’s reaction is the best moment of my life.
“This way we got to do it totally the way we wanted – it wasn’t traditional, we didn’t have a sit-down meal and there weren’t loads of speeches.
“Someone once told me their friend had a surprise wedding and it stuck in my mind.”
While Matthew added: “We couldn’t have had a better response. People just screamed for about ten minutes! It’s funny to think that our guests thought they were coming to Charley’s 30th party – then we told them it was our wedding!

“It wasn’t the most traditional wedding, but we wanted it to be different.”
Emmerdale continues on weeknights at 7pm while This Morning continues on weekdays at 10:30am, both on ITV.
