Joe Tate and young Noah have been meeting up against Noah’s mum Charity’s wishes.
Their chat became much closer as Joe talked about how their dad was not the man they wanted him to be, and how he barely had any time to spend time together of become truly close as father and son.
They talked closely about their past, and Joe even explained how much he loved Debbie, and that despite his using her to get to Charity he never expected to fall for her.
He said his anger about his father’s death took hold of him and he completely did the wrong thing, reacting terrible to his grief.
Joe even revealed that his biggest fear is to end up without her, or having lost his chance with her.
So when Noah dared Joe to jump at the quarry, he refused at first, saying he would never do that as he was a sensible person.
But the fans were shocked to see that the thing that made him decide to do such an incredibly stupid thing was, in fact, that Noah bet him a chocolate bar to do the dive.
Fans couldn’t believe their eyes to see him make such a stupid mistake, all for a bit of choc from his little brother.
Luckily, Debbie did some CPR on him after he was found floating in the water and not moving.
He was rushed into hospital with a weak pulse and head injury, but despite being somewhat out of sorts, he could tell Debbie was nearby and was thoroughly excited.
Debbie called Graham to make sure someone would stay with him, while Noah feared he would never get to know his brother if he died, which he worried was his fault.
But luckily Joe was ok, and walked the hospital to thank Debbie for saving him, and said he did it to impress Noah.
Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
