Tonight’s Emmerdale had fans raging, as the truth was revealed about the late Gerry Roberts’s uncle, Terry.
Doug Potts (Duncan Preston) was still running around after Terry (Daniel Casey), who has turned up in the village for his nephew’s funeral.
Poor Doug was doing everything he could to help Terry, offering to cook his dinner and even later confiding in Lachlan White (Thomas Atkinson) that he has sold his car to raise some more cash for Terry.
Viewers were pretty suspicious of Terry, questioning his true motives:
And it seems they were right not to trust him, as Terry later revealed his true colours when he made a phone call to a friend, revealing that he isn’t actually related to Gerry after all and he is in fact conning Doug.
There wasn’t really all that much sympathy for Doug, despite his kind intentions:
Elsewhere, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was struggling to cope with having met her biological son Ryan Stocks (James Moore), who she’d always thought had died at birth.
After getting drunk, she decided to call Ryan and leave him a cruel voicemail, in which she declared that she had no interest in being his mum.
Heartbroken Ryan had just arrived in the village to catch up with his real mum again, but after hearing the message, he decided to leave without approaching her again.
Viewers were furious at Charity’s actions and felt awful for poor Ryan:
