Emmerdale: Emma Barton helped delivered Moira Barton’s baby outside [ITV]
Only recently on Emmerdale, Moira Barton and Emma Barton found themselves caught in an explosive barn fire after getting into a fight over the late James Barton.
However, the two characters got more than they bargained for when Moira shockingly went into a surprise labour – without knowing she was pregnant – and unhinged nurse Emma had to deliver the baby boy outside away from the flames.
Over the Christmas period, Moira slept with both ex-husband Cain Dingle and nephew Pete Barton in the same week, and despite announcing that it was the latter who was the father, it could be either.
On Wednesday’s episode, Victoria Barton broke the news to Pete as she came round to their family home looking for Emma – who had done a runner.

Pete was left stunned by the revelation and news, while brother Ross Barton teased him calling it ‘illegal’.
While at the hospital, the potential father refused to hold the baby boy and confessed: “The truth be told, he might be mine but it doesn’t mean that I want him.”
Later on in the episode, Faith Dingle told Cain and girlfriend Harriet Finch about the surprise baby at the hospital after they discovered and brought in an injured Finn Barton.
Despite Faith telling Cain that it was Pete’s baby, the village hardman looked shocked and asked to know where Moira was.

However, it looks as though the two potential fathers and Moira have got even more trouble on their hands after Emma snuck into the hospital and kidnapped the baby.
Teasing what happens next and who the real father is, Natalie J. Robb – who plays Moira, said: “I think she just said that [Pete’s the father] to get Emma to rescue her.
While she added about the new bundle of joy and whether she will cope: “It is absolutely life changing. I don’t think she does it won’t be easy but you’ll just have to see there’s lots of layers.”
Emmerdale continues on weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
