Emmerdale‘s Tracy Metcalfe faces a potentially dangerous situation next week, as she’s asked to work closely with Charity Dingle’s rapist DI Bails.
Last week’s episodes saw Charity (Emma Atkins) break down in front of her girlfriend Vanessa Woodfield as she revealed how Bails groomed and raped her when she was 14.
Charity is adamant that she doesn’t want to report the historic crime, but her resolve is tested next week when Tracy (Amy Walsh) continues to spend time with Bails.
The unsettling situation crops up when Harriet Finch asks Tracy to join a task force aimed at tackling sexual exploitation.
Tracy is keen to be involved after Phil Webb’s recent attempts to blackmail her, but Vanessa is terrified for her sister when the project requires her meeting up with Bails (Rocky Marshall) on more than one occasion.
Vanessa’s panic pushes Charity into action as she deliberately interrupts a meeting between Bails and Tracy, not wanting to leave them alone together.
Later on, Charity goes a step further by confronting Bails and warning him to stay away from Tracy, but he smugly warns her that he’s untouchable and threatens to break her if she causes any trouble for him.
Hoping he can turn the tables, evil Bails even tries to make a shocking proposition to Charity, which leaves her utterly stunned.
What is Bails’s offer, and will Charity really be prepared to do a deal with the devil?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday, April 25 at 7pm and Thursday, April 26 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
