EastEnders viewers didn’t seem that fussed tonight when Ingrid Solberg bid farewell to Albert Square.
After less than a year in Walford, the forgotten character left in the back of a black cab during an uneventful exit.
EastEnders fans would be forgiven for forgetting Ingrid even existed, with some claiming she had more screen time in her final episode than ever before.
Jack Branning’s nanny featured in very few storylines, with her most memorable moments being a kiss with her boss and a short romance with Keanu Taylor.
Rainie Cross managed to convince Ingrid to leave so that she and Max could move into her bedroom.
Ingrid was seen crying on the stairs as she struggled to say goodbye to Ricky and Amy.
Her farewell dinner was some chips with Keanu at the park, where he admitted it was lucky they "didn’t get too involved".
After reading the kids a final bedtime story, the nanny headed over to her goodbye drinks at E20, which comprised of just Jack and Keanu.
Woody didn’t even know her name, asking Jack if his second drink was for "the lady that’s leaving".
The farewell drinks were ruined when Jack got into a scuffle with a young lad and ended up in hospital with a nasty gash to his hand.
Poor Ingrid wasn’t even the centre of attention for her final scene, which saw Mel confess her true feelings for Jack, while Keanu hugged his former flame in the background.
EastEnders viewers took to Twitter after Ingrid’s uneventful exit.
One viewer said: "Poor Ingrid getting more screen time now she is leaving then she ever did before"
Another added: "Don’t waste your tears Ingrid, it’ll be like you never left when you’ve gone Oh wait…"
A third said: "Poor Ingrid. She didn’t get much of a chance, did she?"
*EastEnders continues on Tuesday on BBC One at 7.30pm
