Disney has confirmed when fans will get to see everyone’s favourite snowman again in Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.
Effectively a Frozen 1.5, the 21-minute short follows Olaf (Josh Gad) as he sets off to find a holiday tradition for Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel) as they celebrate their first Christmas since Frozen‘s happy ending.
It’s been revealed that the new short will play before screenings of Frozen in the UK on Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26. Tickets will go on sale from November 1.
It will show in front of Pixar’s next original offering Coco when it hits US cinemas on November 22.
The first trailer, released earlier this year, sees Olaf investigate Christmas traditions and not quite get their meaning.
“You cut down a tree and then you dress its corpse with candles,” he jokes to one horrified family, adding in another sequence: “Breaking and entering? Okay on Christmas!”
Of course, we’re sure it will all have a happy ending and potentially another ‘Let It Go’ banger in its four new tracks.
All of the original cast are back, but this time around, the songs are written by Kate Anderson and Elyssa Samsel, who were recommended by original Frozen songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
“This was a high hurdle I set, but one of my dreams was to create a new Christmas standard in one of those songs, and Kate and Elyssa just killed it,” Disney’s John Lasseter told EW.
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure isn’t the first Frozen spin-off we’ve had as we’ve waited for the sequel to arrive, since Frozen Fever was attached to Cinderella on its cinema release in 2015.
