It’s going to be a long winter (and summer, and winter after that most likely) until Game of Thrones returns for its final season.
While watching endless re-runs of the series may help get us through the long wait until 2019, it’s not quite enough.
Luckily, HBO Nordic is providing something that should satisfy our inner nerd for the time being – a Thrones-themed ice hotel.

The amazing-sounding hotel is situated in an annually-constructed village of ice and snow in Finnish Lapland called (fittingly) the Lapland Hotels SnowVillage.
Inside, you will stay among a life-sized ice Iron Throne, White Walkers looming over your bed as you sleep, a Braavos Hall of Faces and even a massive ice dragon behind the Ice Bar.
Drinks are served in ice glasses, while the restaurant menu includes a three-course Finnish meal with food such as reindeer – and it sounds a lot better than Hot Pie’s servings.
Guests themselves are recommended to stay just one night due to the temperatures being kept at minus five degrees Celsius, and are thus provided with special sleeping bags.
Winter isn’t forever of course (unless you live beyond the Wall) so if you want to book, the hotel is only there until April 8.
Prices start from $200 (£148) a night, and there is an additional $18 (£15) fee to get into the SnowVillage too.
Game of Thrones will return to HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK in 2019.
