Game of Thrones star Oona Chaplin has joined Avatar 2.
The actress, who played Robb Stark’s wife Talisa on the HBO series (and of course ended up being offed in season three’s tragic Red Wedding episode ‘The Rains of Castamere’ alongside her husband and mother-in-law), has been cast in James Cameron’s forthcoming sequel.
Oona’s other acting credits include roles in Black Mirror, Sherlock and Tom Hardy’s Taboo, as well as the films What If? and The Longest Ride.
Deadline reports she will play a ‘strong and vibrant central character’ called Varang, and will also return for other sequels in the Avatar franchise.
