Gerard Butler is returning for the sequel to heist thriller Den of Thieves. And yep, the first one has only just been released.
According to Deadline, he’ll be starring in the film, and joining forces once again with stars O’Shea Jackson Jr and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson.
50 Cent will be producing along with Tucker Tooley, Mark Canton, Alan Siegel, who are also back on board for the sequel – as well as writer and director Christian Gudegast.

Den of Thieves centres around a thief (Butler) planning a daring heist from the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles under the nose of a corrupt sheriff’s deputy.
His plan is further complicated when he becomes caught between two rival criminal gangs.
The sequel will also follow Butler’s character, Big Nick, who’s on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie (Jackson Jr).
Donnie is embroiled in the dangerous world of diamond thieves and the Panther mafia, as they plan a big heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange.
Gudegast wrote Den of Thieves with Paul Scheuring back in 1998, and it spent years in development. It was finally released earlier this month and has grossed $57 million worldwide so far.
Meanwhile, Butler recently weighed in on one of the biggest issues of our time, when he revealed who out of Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston is the better kisser.
Butler appeared alongside Aniston in the 2010 film The Bounty Hunter, and alongside Jolie in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life seven years earlier.
Den of Thieves is in cinemas now.
