Guardians of the Galaxy stars unite for a brilliantly retro ’80s throwback music video

It’s been a few months now since the Guardians of the Galaxy returned to screens in their second cinematic outing, and now it’s on to the next stage of the movie’s development…

The DVD extras.

To celebrate the upcoming release of the Blu-ray and DVD, Marvel has unveiled a music video to ‘Guardians’ Inferno’, an original song co-written by director James Gunn and producer Tyler Bates which features on the soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, as performed by the fictional band The Sneepers.

The three-and-a-half minute video features all our favourite Guardians stars in a completely new light – and decade.

So, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, and Star-Lord himself Chris Pratt all make an appearance in the video.

As do the ubiquitous Stan Lee and – yes – ’80s TV legend David Hassellhoff (who also made a cameo in the final cut of the movie).

Amazing.

Other DVD extras include a lot of the movie’s deleted scenes, which will hopefully show us more of that never-aired Nathan Fillion cameo.

The Castle star had signed up for a cameo turn in the movie, only for his role to be cut in the final edit.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Blu-ray edition is out in the US on August 22, and in the UK on September 4.
