Heartbreaking reason for X Factor star’s nerves sees Louis and Ayda run on stage

Louis Tomlinson and Ayda Field ran on stage on tonight’s X Factor during emotional scenes.

The judges dashed to comfort one hopeful after hearing the heartbreaking reason behind his nerves.

Dalton Andre Harris broke down in tears as he opens up about his struggles growing up in Jamaica.

The 24-year-old performer lived with his mother and older sister in one room with no electricity or running water.

Dalton, who flew over from Jamaica for the audition, revealed it was the "biggest moment of his life".

Speaking before his audition, he said: "We were very poor. We had one room that we sectioned into different parts. We never had electricity or running water.

"It was a humble life. Not everyone would want that but it was right for me.

"It’s not a sad story it’s how I came out of that and how I’m triumphant. I’m very proud of that.

"This is probably the biggest break I’ll ever get. This is single handedly the most important moment of my life

The young hopeful was visibly nervous when he headed on stage and couldn’t think of any names when asked about his musical inspirations.

He sang an amazing new take on Elton john classic ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’.

Dalton nearly broke down in middle of performance and he shed a few tears at the end.

Explaining why he was so emotional, Dalton said: "I’ve been on my own since I was 15 but I’ve accepted it. It’s not a sad story it’s just been a lot, it’s been a long time."

Ayda and Louis then rushed on stage to comfort him with a massive hug.

Dalton joked: "You see this on TV and think that’s not going to me because I’m a gangster."

After beating his nerves, Dalton was given four big ‘yeses’ from the judges.
