The Hollyoaks cast have revealed exciting details of Stephanie Davis’ explosive return.
The mum-of-one is getting a second chance in soapland – after Hollyoaks bosses sensationally asked her to come back.
After a tough time since leaving the soap three years ago, Stephanie, 25, is thrilled to be finally getting a fresh start back on the show that first made her a household name.
Hollyoaks legend Nick Pickard has revealed she will be back filming scenes as village troublemaker Sinead O’Connor in August – but doesn’t want to be working too closely with her.
He hopes that his character, Tony Hutchinson, won’t start another affair with his stepdaughter.
Sinead started a turbulent relationship with Tony which ended when she drunkenly cheated on him with Ste.
Long-standing actor Nick admitted "you can never tell" what will happen with "wild child" Sinead, perhaps indicating they could get back together.
Speaking on This Morning, he said: "Hopefully they won’t do that again as him and Dianne, who is obviously her mother, are in a good place again.
"You never can tell when she comes back – she’s a wild child."
On when Steph will return to the soap, he said: "She doesn’t start until August I believe. It will be good definitely."
This comes after soap sources claimed the cast are furious to see her come back.
Cast members have said the atmosphere on the soap has been much calmer since her departure, which came after her contract was terminated by producers after five years on the soap.
A source told The Sun : "There’s a couple of the cast who she didn’t get on with that are p****d off that she is coming back. She caused chaos while she was here and the atmosphere of the set has been calmer since she went
"There was always a drama when she was around and everything was constantly being moved as she was either late or disrupting the production schedule.
“When she left everyone breathed a sigh of relief."
One person who is definitely excited to return in Stephanie herself, who spoke about her excitement last week.
Stephanie said: “I’m over the moon to be given this amazing opportunity and so excited to bring feisty Sinead back to Hollyoaks."
She continued: “I can’t wait to see all the cast and crew there, many that I have known for years.
“I just want to get stuck into learning my first scripts I can’t wait to be on set and back acting again, which is my passion.”
