In a surprising announcement, the hit singer has become a member of the Songs Of Praise presenting team, with his first episode airing towards the end of the month.
JLS star JB recently spoke to his now co-star Aled Jones on the show in July when it was like for the Chatsworth Flower Show.
During his appearance on the show, the 30 year old performed a moving rendition of You Raise Me Up for the audience.
Speaking of his love for the programme, he said: “BBC One’s Songs of Praise has played an integral part to my childhood. I remember growing up watching and singing along to all of the hymns, many of which I’d learnt during hymn practice at my Church of England Primary School.

“Needless to say, I’m incredibly excited to be taking on this new role as a Songs of Praise presenter. I’m especially looking forward to combining my faith with my love of music, performing and my passion for the outdoors.”
He added: “Hopefully you’ll also get to see me sing a few more hymns along the way!”
Viewers of the BBC show will first see the Beat Again artist on Sunday 20 August at 2.15pm.
During his first episode, JB is going to try his hand at a new form of camping in an historic church – known as “champing” – and he will meet people aiming to use the getaway to raise money for restoration projects.

JB’s bandmate Aston Merrygold will also be on our screens very soon as he takes to the Strictly Come Dancing floor.
The news was revealed on Monday by the former Strictly contestant and fellow presenter Scott Mills.
In a statement, Aston said: “I’m so happy to be joining Strictly 2017, it is such a brilliant show and I’ve followed it for years.
