The full home-entertainment release (the US already has a digital version) of Justice League is almost here, which means that fans of Warner Bros’s superhero team-up movie will soon get to dive deep into the production.
We’ve got one featurette for you to watch right now (because we’re good to you) that focuses on the costuming department, and in particular how they created Batman’s tactical armour from the end of the movie.
It’s pretty cool to see how the new suit was built over the one from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but there’s no mention of how it takes inspiration from Owlman of Zack Snyder’s Watchmen movie, which is totally the case, right?
We also got a few more flashes of the black suit which Superman was supposed to have worn in the movie (based on the costume from the ’90s comics) and which has made an appearance in one of the deleted scenes released so far.
Obviously Justice League had a fraught production, with the backlash against BvS making an impact, Zack Snyder having to leave over a family tragedy, and Paramount not allowing Henry Cavill to shave his Mission: Impossible moustache for the reshoots.
Hopefully we’ll get to get a real meaty look at how the filmmakers dealt with all that in further featurettes.
JUSTICE LEAGUE arrives onto Digital Download March 12 and on 4K ULTRA HD Blu-ray™, Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™ and DVD March 26. A Steelbook is also available exclusively with HMV.
