DC fans are in for a treat, if this is true.
The new Justice League movie could see Henry Cavill’s Superman donning his black costume from the comics.
The source of the possible leak comes from a toy promo, shared by Twitter user @LynchReborn. Look at the ‘series 2’ toys…
It’s not the first time it has been teased that the Man of Steel will switch colours. Earlier this month, Cavill posted an image on Instagram showing what appears to be Superman’s classic black costume.
In case you missed it at the time:
For those who aren’t in the loop, an early ’90s DC Comics storyline called ‘Reign of the Supermen’ involved four heroes – Eradicator, Superboy, Steel and the Cyborg Superman – staking claim as the new Man of Steel when Clark Kent and Doomsday battled to the death.
However, the real Superman returned from his “Kryptonian Slumber” to patrol Metropolis again – albeit in a black-and-white costume.

Of course, the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice saw the blue-and-red clad Kryptonian hero sacrifice his own life to take down Doomsday.
So narratively, the black costume would make sense…
Meanwhile, new character shots for Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg have been released – and it seems that Justice League will take a brighter and more fun direction.
Justice League will be released on November 17, 2017.
