Love Island’s Jack tries to win Laura back – but he’s got competition

Will they, won’t they? Laura Anderson and Jack Fowler’s relationship seems to be going around in circles.

After saying that he thought the spark wasn’t there between him and Laura, Jack decided to crack on with Grace. Unfortunately for him, she was dumped from the Island last night.

So Jack has some serious making up to do with Laura if he wants to get her back – and it looks like he’s got some serious competition.

In tonight’s episode, Laura admits that she is excited about the prospect of two new guys entering the villa.

She tells Georgia and Sam: "It’s nice to have the upper hand for once. I don’t know what’s going to happen. These boys might not fancy me."

But Sam insists: "They will! They’re going to fancy you. They’re going to be fit… They’re going to be going for you."

In the Beach Hut, Laura says: “ It would be nice for Jack to sweat a little bit. Sometimes it helps if they see you chatting or giving attention to someone else which is what I’ve had to do with Jack today, I’ve had to see Jack speak to Grace.

"If Jack wants to have anything with me again he really needs to tell me how he feels."

Meanwhile, Jack tells Charlie: "If anyone said to me right now ‘who would you rather, Grace or Laura?’ I would still say Laura and I’ve said that from the start because I feel like even though me and her aren’t romantic I still care about her.”

But Charlie reckons there could still be something there between Jack and Laura, adding: "I wouldn’t close the book on that."

In the Beach Hut, Jack says: "In the back of my mind, there is still unfinished business there with me and Laura because I do still care about her. On top of that, these two new boys don’t really help the situation. It is what it is.”

New Islanders Idris and Kieran enter the villa and some of the boys are worried – including Jack.

Later Jack climbs into bed with Laura and tells her: "I’ve said to everyone that I do really care about you… I care about you in the right way. Like I care about you. I do really like you. I do fancy you.”

"Just tell me what you want," she says. "Tell me how you feel. The last thing you said to me was ‘do you see a spark?’ and I said ‘yeah’ and then you went, ‘I don’t.’"

"I just tried to think too deep and too far into the future," Jack replies.

Later in the Beach Hut, Jack admits: "The last couple of days I have distanced myself because I’ve been confused but you can’t fight back feelings. They are there and a little bit more than I thought they were if I’m honest."

The next day, the pair open up to one another on the daybeds.

Jack says: "I do love spending time with you but I think it’s not been straight forward for us. Last night, these two boys have come in.

"That for me was the worst time because anything I say now or do now you’re going to think he’s acting like this because two boys have come in. It’s not nice seeing people like Idris talk to you. There is jealousy there."

Later, new Islander Idris decides to be bold and flirt with Laura.

As they get talking, Laura says: "I used to have a type. I was with Wes, now I’m seeing Jack. It’s been a bit up in the air the past few days. I think he is keeping his options open and so am I because you have to."

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Laura says: “He’s really sweet, he’s quite charming and quite forward, it’s refreshing when a new person comes in and treats you with respect and tells you that I like you and want to woo you a little bit, it’s every girls dream isn’t it."

Could Laura be swayed by Idris?
