Love Island’s Laura’s rugby star ex revealed – as her real age is confirmed

Laura Anderson’s rugby star ex has been revealed – as none other than Dancing On Ice hunk Max Evans .

The Love Island star, who is currently coupled up with Wes Nelson , was dumped by the brother of Thom Evans for another famous woman when they dated eight years ago.

Scottish air stewardess Laura went on a series of romantic dates with Max after he pursued her – but soon ditched her for American actress Katy Johnson, who he later married in 2014 then divorced two years later.

Laura had even made reference to Max without naming in before she went into the Love Island villa.

Of her famous ex," she said: "He played international rugby. I think he married the girl he cheated on me with."

A source told the Sun : "Laura was devastated when Max abruptly left her for Katy and it took her a lot of time to get over it. But it was a long time ago now and he’s firmly in her past.

"She learned a lot about herself and relationships from the experience and feels wiser because of it.

Meanwhile, Laura – who was viciously trolled over her appearance when she first appeared on the ITV2 show – has had her real age confirmed by the discovery of her birth certificate.

The star was branded the ‘mum’ of the villa as viewers claimed she’d lied about her age , and said she must be far older than 29.

But her birth certificate, issued by the Register of Births in Scotland, confirms she was indeed born in April 1989, making her one year short of her 30th.

It came after eagle-eyed fans found a picture of a 30th birthday celebration on Laura’s Instagram from 2016.

The snap showed Laura’s hotel room decorated with a 30th sash and balloons everywhere, prompting followers to speculate that it was her own milestone birthday she was celebrating.

But it was actually Laura’s 27th she was marking, alongside her boyfriend at the time.

The former Emirates hostess has previously dated Dane Bowers and another professional rugby player – Michael Poole.

She was even engaged to Michael back in 2016, but was heartbroken when he broke it off just three months into their whirlwind relationship.

Laura had begun sharing loved-up snaps of herself with the former Ulster player back in 2015, and even showing off her engagement ring.

They were pictured together attending friends’ weddings and enjoying days out in Dubai, where she lives.

And according to The Sun , he popped the question after she publicly suggested he should by captioning a picture of herself at a hen do with "Are we next?" and tagging him.

Laura first debuted the ring in August 2016 as the couple posed up together in a pier in his home country of Wales.

But her ring was gone just three months later and she began sharing quotes about relationships, including one that read: "Getting over painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward".
