“It’s what she spends her downtime doing away from the cameras and to make it her main career is a dream come true.

“She’s been a long-time fan of Dolly Parton and loves that kind of country folk music so it makes sense to go to Nashville to lay down tracks with some of the best in that business to give her the biggest chance of success.”

It is thought that the new programme will not interfere with her TOWIE duties as it will be filmed while the show is on a break.

Megan has previously showed off her vocal talents on TV in the past.

Before she found fame, the auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent where she reached the semi-finals.

Pete Wicks’ ex girlfriend sang as a band called Melody with her pal Demi Bennett in 2009.

The aspiring singer was a guest on Made In Chelsea star’s show In Bed With Jamie where he asked her about all sorts of things about TOWIE, Ex on the Beach and her new business.

But Megan had no idea Jamie had something else up his sleeve, and the entire interview was a set-up.

Jamie had a number of pranks lined up in order to see if he could make Megan get mad.
