Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appeared in their first TV interview since getting engaged [Sky News]
Meghan Markleand Prince Harry had confirmed they were engaged on Monday 27th of November after months of speculation.
Speaking in their first joint TV interview since confirming the news, Meghan confessed she was “surprised” by Harry proposing – but couldn’t wait to say yes.
The pair had earlier taken part in a photo call in which Meghan, dressed in a white mac, showed off her stunning engagement ring.
Kensington Palace announced the happy news in a statement released on their official Twitter page.

The statement read: “His Royal Highness The prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle.
“The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.
“His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle became engaged in London earlier this month. prince Harry has informed her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle’s parents.
“The couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.”

On November 8th 2016, Kensington Palace confirmed that Harry, 33, was in a relationship the Suits actress after the Prince condemned press abuse of his girlfriend.
The statement revealed that the pair were “a few months into a relationship” and it was “not right” for 36-year-old Meghan to be subjected to a “wave of abuse and harassment”.
The happy couple recently thrilled fans when they made their first public appearance was a couple at the Invictus Games in Toronto in September 2017.
It came just weeks after Meghan, who was previously married to actor Trevor Engelson, opened up about her high profile relationship for the first time in Vanity Fair.

She told the publication: “I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple. We’re two people who are really happy and in love.
“We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
