Mission: Impossible – Fallout has dropped a sneaky teaser ahead of its full trailer debut over the weekend.
Tom Cruise dropped a brief eight-second clip on social media today (February 1), and it has most definitely got us excited.
OK, so it’s just a silhouette of his character Ethan Hunt walking through a door and teasing the trailer drop on Sunday… but it does have those stirring first notes of the iconic theme tune.
On top of that, we have a first poster for the movie, which shows Cruise with a bunch of mountains and a helicopter ‘inside’ him. We’d recommend seeing a doctor about that.
A few days ago, the first pictures from the movie emerged, one showing the star jumping from building to building, which may go some way to explain that injury he sustained.
His broken ankle caused production to be shut down for more than two months – something he opened up about on last week’s Graham Norton Show.
“I was chasing Henry [Cavill] and was meant to hit the side of the wall and pull myself over but the mistake was my foot hitting the wall,” he explained.
“I knew instantly my ankle was broken and I really didn’t want to do it again, so just got up and carried on with the take.
“I said, ‘It’s broken. That’s a wrap. Take me to hospital,’ and then everyone got on the phone and made their vacation arrangements.”
He added: “I’m doing well. It’s not fully healed, but we are shooting and we have a release date so I just have to keep going.”
Mission: Impossible Fallout hits cinemas on July 27, 2018.
