This Morning: Shawn, Devonte and Sammy have been hailed as heros [ITV]
Shawn, Devonte and Sammy proved they are wise beyond their years when they jumped in to save a man as he threatened to take his own life.
The boys, with a combined age of just 39, spoke to the suicidal man and managed to convince him that he had a place in the world and a reason to live, urging him not to jump down.
When asked by This Morning host Phillip Schofield about the man they had helped, one of the schoolboys recalled: “[He was] crying and wiping his eyes and stuff like that. I was like you’ve got family and stuff like that. It’s not worth it.”
Encouraging the brave pupils to tell their story, Phil led: “You said you’re young you’ve got your whole life. They are very adult things to think about, were you worried about the wrong thing might make it worse?”
