We already knew that Matt Damon would be making an appearance in Ocean’s Eight, and now the reboot is adding another original cast member.
Actor Carl Reiner recently let slip that he will be returning to the franchise as con man Saul Bloom in what appears to be a cameo appearance.
“Yeah, Ocean’s Eight, I think they’re calling it,” he told Vanity Fair. “And I got to work with my favourite actress, Sandra Bullock. I did one little scene with her, and it was such a pleasure. She’s a work of nature.”
Damon was confirmed to be back as Linus Caldwell last year for the all-female reboot, with the actor saying: “I’m doing a little bit in the movie.
“I haven’t read it yet, but the cast is phenomenal and I’m excited to see what those women do with it. It’s going to be fun.”
Hmm, we wonder if he will rope in a certain Mr George Clooney to play Danny Ocean once again? Never say never.
The movie has a mega ensemble cast led by Bullock as Debbie Ocean, Danny’s estranged sister.
The movie also stars Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, Rihanna, and Helena Bonham Carter.
Ocean’s Eight opens in cinemas in exactly a year’s time on June 8, 2018.
