One Love Island finalist has hit back at fake relationship claims

Love Island finalist Laura Anderson has hit back at claims that the relationships on the show are fake.

The 29-year-old recently split up with fellow contestant Paul Knops, and some fans have since suggested that their romance was never actually real.

Laura has now retaliated via Instagram, posting a jibing comeback to the doubters.

“#justathought Love Island relationships are REAL as far as I’m concerned,” she wrote. “Be a little bit more KIND people.”

Later, the Islander shared a quote on her account, which many fans assumed was in response to her break-up with Paul.

The quote read: “May you attract someone who speaks your language so you don’t have to spend a lifetime translating your soul.”

She then captioned the post: “You get it or you don’t. Life is easier when you surround yourself with people on the same frequency, everyone else is a test or a lesson. Sunday = quote day.”

Speaking to OK! about her split from Paul, she said: “When we came out of the villa there was a lot of work related things we did together and then Paul went away for three weeks.

“He went to the Burning Man festival in America and he couldn’t get phone signal for a week. I was absolutely fine with that. I trusted him not to do things with other girls, which he didn’t.

“I was hoping that when he came back we’d spend more time together and build a proper relationship out of the villa. It didn’t happen.”
