The Beatles legend has joined Disney’s latest instalment of the Pirates franchise as, you guessed it, a pirate.
Sir Paul shared his character poster on social media over the weekend ahead of the film’s release.
This is the first time we’ve seen the 74-year-old in character for the movie which reunites Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom for the first time since 2007’s At World’s End.

In this film, Salazar’s Revenge, Paul plays Captain Jack Sparrow’s uncle but he isn’t he first rockstar to play a relative of Johnny’s character.
Keith Richards, who Depp based a lot of Sparrow on, appeared in At World’s End as Captain Teague, Jack’s father.
The new film sees ghost Spanish Royal Navy soldiers led by Jack Sparrow’s old nemesis, Armando Salazar, escape from the Devil’s Triangle and attempt to kill every pirate at sea, including him.

To survive, Jack seeks out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artefact whose owner can control the seas.
Disney are said to be concerned that Johnny’s bad press could cause the new film to lose money at the box office.
A recent story claiming the actor had his lines fed to him through an ear-piece on the film set, instead of learning them, earned the contempt of Jessica Chastain.
However, the film’s director Joachim Rønning said there would be more films to come so it might not be the last time we see Captain Jack Sparrow.
