Peaky Blinders beats Line of Duty, The Crown and End of the F***ing World to win Best Drama Series at BAFTAs

The BAFTA TV Awards 2018 are underway, and one of the earliest winners announced is one of the biggest: Best Drama.

There was some fierce competition this year, with Line of Duty, The End of the F**king World, Peaky Blinders and The Crown all competing for the prize.

But in the end, it was Birmingham-based crime drama Peaky Blinders that got the gold.

The show wrapped up its fourth series last year, with a fifth in the works to air in 2019 (we know, we know, it’s a long wait).

Creator Steven Knight recently revealed that he is planning both a sixth and seventh run of the show, and while neither have been officially commissioned, he is pretty convinced that series six is definitely happening.

He’s also said that a ballet version could be also be a thing, which sounds… interesting.
