Donald Trump seems to be a fan of the Reese Witherspoon romantic comedy if his May 13 commencement speech at Liberty University is anything to go by.
The President seems to have lifted phrases from Elle Woods’ Harvard graduation speech for his own use, something the The Late Show starring Jimmy Fallon noticed.

Jimmy presented a montage video showing the similarities between Elle’s Harvard speech and Donald’s Liberty speech and it is shockingly similar.
This is what Elle says: “We take our next steps into the world, it is with passion, courage of conviction and most importantly have faith in yourself. We did it!”

Trump says: “You must go forth into the world.. passion, courage in your conviction, most importantly be true to yourself. I did it.”
Obviously there’s been a bt of creative editing to make the similarities more noticeable but it’s not the first time a Trump has been accused of plagiarism.
Who can forget Melania Trump’s speech during the Republican National Convention which ripped off Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention?

Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values, that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do,” Obama told the gathering of Democrats in 2008. And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children – and all children in this nation – to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.
From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son, and we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow, because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.
